URGENT UPDATE: Black Country School Games – Stand Alone Event Update

We have a number of planned stand-alone events running over the next few weeks.

These Level 3 events run across a number of venues in the Black Country including School settings, Leisure Centres and other Public Venues.

The postponement of local competitions that feature as part of the School Games pathway, coupled with restrictions on venues (many taking a local decision to close) and deliverers increasing lack of availability has meant we have taken the decision to postpone all stand-alone competition up until April 3rd.

We will continue to work with schools, venues and deliverers and follow the latest National advice to provide further updates regarding the remainder of the standalone calendar and the Summer Festival, due to be held on the 26th June, in due course.

This decision is with huge regret but we want to provide some clarity and direction for everyone involved in the running of the School Games programme.

These are unprecedented times and the health and wellbeing of our Children and Young people, their families including elderly relatives has to be our number 1 priority.
