Senior Researcher.

£37,000 to £39,000 (dependent on experience).

This is a permanent, full-time role (37 hours a week), with benefits (including: pension, free parking, flexi-time scheme, generous annual leave entitlement and numerous discounts at the local shopping centre).

This role will initially be home-based due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Black Country Consortium (BCC) Ltd works collaboratively with partners from the Public and Private Sector, to steer and support economic growth in the Black Country. We work closely with the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) to tackle barriers to business growth and the Active Black Country partnership team in promoting the role sport can play in improving the economic prosperity of the area.

This role will be required to develop, source, collect, manipulate, analyse and strategically advise on regional research data and intelligence . This information will include geographical intelligence, which will focus on the economy and business competitiveness in the Black Country including the roles of sectors.

The successful candidate will be required to:

             Analyse and lead reporting to the relevant Board/Partners (in conjunction with BCC's Director of Economic Intelligence).

             Act as a broker/co-ordinator in collaborative business competitiveness projects.

             Lead on the delivery of assigned projects, to ensure they are aligned to the Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) and the Performance Management Framework; in order to generate income where appropriate.

             Support regional intelligence and policy development through the application of new models and methodologies; including scenario analysis.

Travel (mainly around the Black Country) will be required as part of this role.

£37,000 to £39,000 (dependent on experience).
